Initially this blog was going to be about how connected we all are, as I arranged meetings ands calls using the excellent Wi-Fi whilst 30,000 feet in the air somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean en route to New York from London. However, I couldn't stop putting on in Top Gun quotes, so I've decided to embrace the fact that there are certain similarities between using a specialist Headhunter, and bringing in Maverick to save the day. Whichever side of the pond we are working on, we are often met with "we have an internal team that handles our recruitment". And that's great, because you should have an internal recruitment team, as people and recruitment are in my opinion the number one factor between the success or failure of a business. However, sometimes you need to bring in the experts, an old head that has been in the sector for many years and knows how to get the job done. I'm sure the US Navy are exceptional at their job. But sometimes you need Maverick.
