About the Role
As a Peripatetic Manager, you will take temporary responsibility for care homes that lack a Manager and provide operational support to senior management, including Regional Directors and Home Managers.
You will oversee a portfolio of 8 homes across Southwest England, with flexibility to support additional homes as required.

What Will You Be Doing?
- Provide Leadership & Support: Step in as a Manager where needed, ensuring stability and continuity in care homes.
- Deliver Person-Centred Care: Maintain high-quality, personalised care for residents in line with their care plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all homes meet CQC standards, maintain policies, and stay updated on legislation.
- Financial & Business Management: Oversee budgets, ensure economic viability, and meet business objectives.
- Community Engagement: Develop strong relationships with residents, families, and local stakeholders.
- Staff Recruitment & Development: Support managers in hiring, training, and managing care teams to maintain excellent care standards.
- Travel & Flexibility: Be prepared to travel extensively and support care homes in other regions when required.
What Are They Looking For?
- Previous management experience in a nursing setting (across at least two different care homes).
- NMC PIN required (Registered Nurse – RGN/RMN).
- Strong operational management experience.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage compliance, and drive quality improvements.
- A current driving licence (travel across multiple locations required).
