Registered Care Home Manager

Salary: £65,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)


About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Care Home Manager to lead the team at this Cheltenham based home. This 60-bed care home provides nursing and residential dementia care within a luxury retirement village, offering state-of-the-art facilities including a restaurant, bar and café, library, activities studio, wellness spa, nail bar, and hair salon.

As Care Home Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, ensuring that person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. You will be clinically responsible for residents’ well-being while maintaining compliance with CQC standards and working with senior professionals, local authorities, and Primary Care Trust commissioners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and support teams to provide high-quality, safe and effective care.
  • Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations, maintaining a safe environment for residents.
  • Monitor and maintain staffing levels, ensuring the home operates efficiently.
  • Oversee clinical governance, implementing best practices, systems, and processes to enhance resident care.
  • Develop relationships with Local Authorities (LAs), CQC, and Primary Care Trust commissioners, acting as a trusted healthcare partner.
  • Drive a positive, open, and supportive culture, empowering staff to excel.

What Are They Looking For?

  • Management qualification (or willingness to obtain), such as the Registered Manager’s Award.
  • Experience in leading and developing a care setting, with comprehensive experience in elderly care.
  • Approachable and confident leader, with strong team empowerment and motivation skills.
  • Passion for person-centred care, putting residents at the heart of every decision.
  • Clinical knowledge with an ability to drive quality improvements and maintain compliance.
  • Ability to lead by example, fostering an open and honest culture.
  • DBS check required (covered by Bupa).
