Key Responsibilities:

The Home Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the home, promoting high-quality, person-centred care while ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Provide strong leadership and direction, inspiring the care team to deliver outstanding services.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of care.
  • Oversee key operational aspects, including staffing, recruitment, occupancy, and financial management.
  • Drive community engagement and marketing efforts to enhance the reputation of the home.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety, including compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Monitor performance and conduct regular audits, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Oversee staff training, supervisions, and appraisals, promoting career development within the team.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and experienced leader with a strong background in the care sector.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in care home management, including leadership and operational responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with the ability to increase occupancy and grow the home’s reputation.
  • Strong understanding of CQC/CIW compliance and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • A compassionate and professional approach, prioritizing resident well-being.
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
  • A confident communicator, capable of building relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Flexibility to provide out-of-hours on-call support, when required.

  • Salary: £55,000 + bonus + benefits
