Key Responsibilities:
The Care Home Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and operational management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the care team, ensuring residents receive the best possible care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and meet all CQC/CIW standards.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans, ensuring they meet physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Oversee staffing levels, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the home.
- Conduct assessments, risk management, and quality assurance monitoring.
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and choice while striving for continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial stability while delivering exceptional care.
- Establish strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Who They Are Looking For:
This role requires an experienced and compassionate leader with strong clinical knowledge and operational expertise.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/LD) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Registered Manager’s Award Level 4 or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5 (or willingness to work towards one).
- Experience in managing a care home or leading a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a care team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and ability to identify and manage risks.
- Proven ability to ensure regulatory compliance with CQC/CIW.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic approach.
