About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Care Home Manager to lead this small, Exeter based nursing home ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for all residents. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and committed leader who excels in sales, leadership, financial management, team engagement, and CQC compliance.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Home Admin team to build a strong, quality-focused care team and deliver an outstanding resident experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
- Drive sales and occupancy growth, ensuring the home remains financially successful.
- Lead and develop a highly motivated team, fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, local authority expectations, and industry standards.
- Work closely with residents and families, maintaining open communication and strong relationships.
- Recruit, train, and retain staff, ensuring a skilled and dedicated workforce.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring the financial stability of the home.
What Are They Looking For?
- Proven experience in registered care home management (minimum 5 years preferred).
- Clinical background – NMC Registered Nurse (essential).
- Current NMC PIN with a strong understanding of nursing care.
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to manage large teams.
- Strong knowledge of CQC, CCG, and local authority requirements.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial awareness and financial competency within the care industry.
- Previous experience in a senior management capacity is desirable.
