Registered Home Manager – Lead a Specialist Nursing Home

Location: Durham
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: To £60,000 + bonus

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Home Manager to oversee their service specialising in younger adults and mental health care.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of this medium sized nursing home, ensuring high-quality care.
  • Leading, developing, and motivating a team to provide person-centred care.
  • Ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations and best practice standards.
  • Developing and reviewing care assessments and plans, ensuring they meet individual needs.
  • Overseeing recruitment, training, and staff development, fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Managing financial budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality care.
  • Increasing occupancy levels, promoting the home and building a strong local reputation.
  • Liaising with local authorities, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders to enhance care delivery.

What Are They Looking For?

  • Previous experience managing a similar-sized nursing home.
  • Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) is preferred but not essential.
  • Passionate about dementia care and committed to improving residents’ well-being.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in recruiting, developing, and managing teams.
  • Financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive occupancy growth.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, confident in working with local authorities and external partners.
