Care Home Manager – South Ayrshire

A Care Home Manager is required to lead a well-established residential and dementia care home in South Ayrshire. The home, which opened in January 2021, offers high-quality ensuite rooms with modern conveniences and provides exceptional, person-centred nursing care for older adults, including those living with dementia and related conditions.


About the Role

A dedicated and experienced leader is needed to oversee the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring that services meet the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe, dignified, and stimulating environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring services meet internal and external requirements.
  • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and respectful environment for residents, in line with National Care Standards.
  • Drive business performance and quality of care through effective leadership and management.
  • Provide professional supervision and support to care and nursing staff.
  • Ensure the home operates in accordance with business values, aims, and objectives.
  • Engage with team members, residents, families, and external stakeholders to promote a positive, person-centred culture.

About You

Are you passionate about leading a care home that provides exceptional standards of care and support?

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven track record in residential and dementia care.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven management experience in a similar setting.
  • NMC registration (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience delivering elderly and dementia care in a medium to large-sized care home.
  • Strong ability to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
    • Achieving positive resident outcomes.
    • Ensuring regulatory compliance with the Care Inspectorate.
    • Driving occupancy, financial performance, and leadership.
  • Ability to train and supervise staff, ensuring continued professional development.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity in all aspects of home management.
