A Care Home Manager is required to lead a well-established residential and dementia care home in South Ayrshire. The home, which opened in January 2021, offers high-quality ensuite rooms with modern conveniences and provides exceptional, person-centred nursing care for older adults, including those living with dementia and related conditions.
About the Role
A dedicated and experienced leader is needed to oversee the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring that services meet the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe, dignified, and stimulating environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring services meet internal and external requirements.
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and respectful environment for residents, in line with National Care Standards.
- Drive business performance and quality of care through effective leadership and management.
- Provide professional supervision and support to care and nursing staff.
- Ensure the home operates in accordance with business values, aims, and objectives.
- Engage with team members, residents, families, and external stakeholders to promote a positive, person-centred culture.
About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven track record in residential and dementia care.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven management experience in a similar setting.
- NMC registration (desirable but not essential).
- Experience delivering elderly and dementia care in a medium to large-sized care home.
- Strong ability to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
- Achieving positive resident outcomes.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance with the Care Inspectorate.
- Driving occupancy, financial performance, and leadership.
- Ability to train and supervise staff, ensuring continued professional development.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity in all aspects of home management.
