Oaklake Search is currently recruiting for a Head of Finance on behalf of this mid sized care group.

Summary:
Responsible for the integrity of data in the financial systems and overseeing financial planning, forecasting and reporting.
Managing internal and external stakeholders.
Leading and developing the Finance department, proactively contributing to growth as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SLT).

Key responsibilities:
Prepare timely and detailed financial performance reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as appropriate.
Oversee financial close processes and consolidation of financial data across a group of companies
Manage external stakeholders e.g. banks, auditors, customers (particularly local authorities) and key suppliers.
Work closely with the Managing Director and wider SLT, to lead the annual budgeting process.
Lead forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting (including covenant management and reporting).
Implement internal controls and oversee all external audits.
Proactively highlight trends and conduct scenario analysis.
Manage working capital, implementing controls and setting targets as appropriate.
Oversee and the company’s finance related IT system and develop long term strategic improvement plans.
Manage and develop the finance department (which includes billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and
payroll

Requirements:
A qualified accountant with around 7 to 10 years post qualified experience.
Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to challenge norms and existing processes coupled with the style
to improve operational efficiency in a collaborative manner.
Experience in managing teams, with the potential to mentor and develop the finance team, ensuring high
performance and continuous improvement.
An analytical mindset coupled with experience in managing cash flow, financial risks, and multi-functional budgets.
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
Advanced Excel skills with hands on general ledger experience (ideally Sage).
Strong ability to influence, support, and challenge management.
Excel under pressure with the ability to efficiently turn data into management information.

A salary of £70,000 - £85,000 is on offer for the right candidate. The role is based at the company office just south of Sheffield, and there are occasional work from home opportunities
