General Manager – Nursing Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to lead a well-established care home in Kings Lynn, ensuring the highest standards of relationship-centred care while achieving operational excellence.


The Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, leading a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction, ensuring all departments work together seamlessly.
  • Oversee recruitment, staff performance, and team development to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure the home meets and exceeds all CQC and internal compliance standards.
  • Maintain financial oversight, ensuring budgets and spending targets are met, including agency use control.
  • Create and foster an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming culture for both residents and staff.

What They Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader with proven experience in managing a care home, driving quality improvements, staff engagement, and compliance excellence.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience managing a care home with a strong record of quality care delivery.
  • Registered Manager Award / ILM Level 5 in Management or equivalent.
  • Nursing qualification (RN/RGN/RMN) is desirable but not essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
