The Offer
- Flexibility: Choose to work full-time hours over four days with a long weekend or spread your hours over five days to suit your schedule.
- Hybrid Working: Work remotely, or from regional offices—or mix both to suit your preference.
- Competitive Salary: Earn £80,000 - £85,000, plus a £5,000 car allowance.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Director of Complex Care, you will lead, shape, and drive the strategic direction of complex care services. Your role will ensure that all processes, systems, and care delivery models meet legal, regulatory, organisational, and customer standards.
- Strategic Leadership: Design and execute strategies that enhance service quality and improve outcomes for individuals receiving complex care.
- Operational Excellence: Lead the successful transition of new complex care services while effectively managing budgets and resources.
- Empowering Leadership: Inspire, develop, and motivate teams to deliver high-quality care aligned with organisational values.
- Technology-Driven Innovation: Implement modern technology solutions to improve efficiency, enhance care delivery, and support continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor robust governance systems to ensure services meet all regulatory, contractual, and organisational expectations.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage complex care budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high service quality.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside the Executive Team, Senior Leadership Team, and Regional Operational Leaders to ensure timely and effective support.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Education: A Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in health or care services.
- Professional Growth: Evidence of ongoing professional development in health or social care.
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of current healthcare policies, transforming care initiatives, and restrictive practices.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the Department of Health & Social Care, local authorities, and commissioning bodies.
- Specialist Insight: Knowledge of Hospital Discharge and Continuing Healthcare (CHC) pathways.
- Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in senior leadership roles within health and social care settings.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop, translate, and implement strategies into effective action plans.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management and resource allocation at a strategic level.
- Quality & Compliance: Background in overseeing CQC-regulated clinical environments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and building partnerships at an executive level.
- Analytical Abilities: The capability to assess data, financial reports, and performance metrics to drive improvements.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected challenges, responding proactively and efficiently.
